Dowelmax came to us for some help on a new consumer product for wood working. We worked closely with them to come up with a simple low-cost solution for what they saw as an opportunity to expand their product offering.
Injection molded ABS was chosen as a base material. Acrylic was added for the lens part. Brass inserts were added for threaded connections to ensure durability and precision. The overall tolerances on the function of the finished design was approx .005" of accuracy.
Here the finished production part is shown in it's package for retail sales.
Working closely with the engineers and management at WST resulted in this custom enclosure for their product. We utilized an available aluminum extrusion and created custom die-cast aluminum end caps. The caps were designed so there was a generic mold, that could be machined to suit the internal components. During the design process the PCB's and the key components. The client is able to use some of this data to help with PCB layouts. We call this process stack-up analysis.
Our product renderings used in a product brochure for the client. Using these renderings allows clients to promote the product before production is actually completed.

One of the clients that we are most proud of is Resonessence Labs. In a very short two years R Labs has risen to the top of their field. We are lucky enough to be used as their exclusive designer for all of their electronic enclosures. Take some time and read the reviews of their devices, you can see first hand how the enclosure design and manufacture plays a key role in the publics perception of the overall quality and ultimately plays an integral part in their success.

Not always sure how to put this into words... Working alongside Roger Goldammer is always a privilege. We have collaborated on many consumer products and distinctly custom machines over the years. With or without us Roger Goldammer will always be a success, but we are very proud of any work that we have pursued together and have definitely left a mark in the world of custom motorcycles.
Unique low volume consumer product?? Maybe not:)
Absolute fun though in designing and building a mechanically driven super charger for a single 1000 cc push-rod motorcycle engine.
3d Rendering of a stunningly beautiful billet aluminum constructed motorcycle swingarm. This design rocked the world when it was released. It featured a completely integrated axle hub and brake system, not shown here. The next image shows one of the many that were built and sold over the years.
Image of the actual machined swingarm in the previous slide. Starting life as a 150 lb block of solid aluminum, this was a completely unique design that still has an artistic and commercial legacy to this day. At the time we were definitely pushing the boundaries of 3d CNC machining
Much more of a consumer product. Various configurations of this custom front end were designed and sold by Goldammer.
Another pretty Goldammer product we developed alongside Mr. Goldammer.
We were able to advance our own skills at die cast aluminum enclosure design and construction working with BeachTek. We designed multiple successful products for this client.
Simple aluminum die cast enclosure. Bullet proof!
SkyTrac original sheet metal design (on right) of ISAT 200 enclosure. We were hired to improve the manufacturability, robustness and appearance of the product. We were also responsible for designing a new tray system and retaining device. There were many considerations involved in the project. One of the important considerations was maintaining backwards compatibility.
Close up of the retaining device solution.
Finished design in it's tray.
The new tray design accepts either old or new models.
The original sheet metal design will fit in either the original tray design or the new design.
Even the new ISAT200A will fit in the old trays.
